VW bus reverse light dimensions

My buddy has a VW resoration he is doing on a guys 1967 21 Window bus and the owner wants to put reverse lights in it but he needs the dimensions to be able to cut in rear panel. Can anybody tell me what the dimesions are from the center of tail light up to the center of the reverse lights?....or any other dimension combos. Let me know what dimensions you got and where you too them from...thx

I will try to help. Mind you these dimensions are with the lenses on. All my lights are mounted.

From the top of the tail light bezel to the bottom of the reverse light bezel is 13/16". That is measure centered on the top tail light holding screw.

Total dimension from bottom of tail light bezel to top of reverse light bezel is 9 9/16".

@NVNATIVE thanks so much - it was actually my bus in the shop in need of some help so I appreciate the info - with your dimensions it was possible to make a template and get my lights back to stock!

If anyone should be reading this and need the template to perform this repair also PM Steve (cleanrides) or me and I can get you in touch

I've been searching for the measures of the hole (where to place it) but can't find it anywhere..

Could someone help me out as I a damaged panel but I can't find the measurements for where to place the hole.
