you are right, but whatever style, I really like the upgrade now. Sort of nicer than what was in there before. Thanks |
Oh sure, I can only imagine! It doesn't look BAD, I can just tell you have a 60s style interior in your oval. I'm sure anything would be an upgrade. _________________ my first bug 66' build:

Hi RareAir, is the blue front and rear panels style shown in the picture also correct for 1954? Do you have other pictures showing more details about the 1954 correct front and rear panels? Thanks.

Yes, the door & qtr cards are correct style for 1953-55 sedan. What details did you want to see? _________________ 1947 Typ 11a

Depends if u go direct through tmi or one of their retailers. It's cheaper to go through a retailer. |
A price would still be great... _________________ Formerly known in the forums as "OVALTEEN"

He actually reached out to me on Facebook and I gave him all the part numbers last week. I was also very clear in that the colors I chose are not exactly spot-on matches to factory colors, they just represent a decision I made.
17 Red is probably a little too red and not orange enough (but dam close), and the 15W piping seemed to be close, but perhaps a tad too bright, should have been a smidge more tan.
Part# 19-1120-17-15W was the full part number, the last two octets being the colors I chose, so for a non-ribbed oval 55+ its part# 19-1120.
I paid $250-300 through a reseller back in April 2012 but my friend hooked me up with a discount. Expect to pay probably $400 or maybe less. They do not come with the chrome trim, you need to re-use old or contact another vendor for that. _________________ Shadetree Westy

If possible a picture of each panel to be sure about what I need, but if the correct panels for my 1954 are the ones shown in the second picture of the previous page, that is enough for me, thank you again.

Does anybody know the correct color tan for an agave green bug. I want to order the panels. But have no clue in tmi's catalog what the correct color is. |

So I started the installation of my new panels, although the color looks awesome, a friend of mine couldn't help but point out the way the clips are pushing out on the material. Here is a pic
Here are the clips I am using
So I pulled the panel back off to avoid any damage or permanent stretching of the panel material. And I decided to do a little research. Apparently for early cars 59-earlier we are supposed to use these smoother, flatter clips! Who knew! Here is a pic
Some more early car oval era knowledge for you guys! Ill post back up some more pics once I pick up the correct clips. _________________ my first bug 66' build:
