Anyone have a trick to getting these apart with breaking them? I want to clean them up and wire in LED lighting. But I can't see how to disassemble them.
Thanks! |

you have a big question,,not for to remoove the 2 tacho,,but dangerous for disconnect some wirers,, first you have need to remoove the négative ground on the battery,, you go by onder the dash for to remoove the 2 nuts on the back clock,, and you can remoove the right side nut by the clock hole for the speedo,,and you go on the legth side for the secon speedo nut,, go here samba in parts for sale,, karmen,,type3 -4 and look for who has speedo for sale and look the back of the clock and speedo,, you can see were is the 4 nuts,,plus you have need to disconnect the speedo cable,, alf twits lock,,good luck,,big job,, |

He wants to "disassemble" the gauge so my guess he wants to open the speedo itself, here is one more link on how to do this, a bug -71 speedo this time:
