As far as I know there is no place for swimmers in action.
By the way. Actually you get one euro for one dollar.
It will be shopping heaven this time for the US boys. |
i'm pretty sure the prices went up here also this year, like every year |
The prices are never low at those events.
But if a 100 € item is a 100 $ item and no longer 150 $, that is a difference. _________________ Master of my domain! |

My feeling is it will magically raise up right before the summer tourist season. _________________ I own a copy of "The Car of the Century" by Garwood. This means I am authorized to act like a twat in thesamba forums. |

The rate is currently around 1:1.1, not quite 1 - 1. I just went and got a whole pile of currency now, even though the trip is 2 months away, just because the rates are low.
Yes some prices are high, but there ARE some good deals there, I find some every time I go. Either people don't really know what something is, or there are so many at the swaps, they have to get reasonable if they want to sell. Only show ever (that and Hessisch) where there isn't 1, maybe 2 T air cleaners for sale, there are 6, 8 maybe 10. Don't like his price, move on.
But for sure, there are some crack smokers there.
BTW, anyone here going to have a swap spot? Mika is I am sure, who else??? _________________ John Henry

Anyone camping? If so, where at?
I found place that rents vanagons and eurovans, and have rented a eurovan for 9 days to camp out during Bad Camberg and then cruise it up to the european bug in and camp again there, since camping is included with admission at the venue in Belgium.
For Bad Camberg, we ill be staying at Lahn Camping Limburg (one of the 3 recommended camp grounds on the Bad Camberg website). |

I'm also staying at Lahn camping.
Generally there are always a lot of the Camberg visitors at that spot. _________________ http://vw-bluehats.blogspot.com/ |

If you do not have a ton of stuff with you,
just drop it on the gras somewhere where is some space and sell it.
Most probably they don´t charge for that. _________________ Master of my domain! |

This is a long shot, but I have to ask! Stranger scenarios have fallen into place before. I'm in the process of trying to purchase a pair of lever shock absorbers from somebody in Los Angeles, and am looking into the various ways of shipping them, when the below idea came to mind.
Question: Is there anybody from California in particular, who is coming to Bad Camberg in two weeks time, who is travelling light, and has the space to bring them along? I'll happily pay you for doing so, and in whichever currency you wish. Euros might be helpful for spending at Camberg.
As I say, it's a long shot, but would save a lot of hassle, and save weeks in the Post Office & Customs system. Bad Camberg, here we come! |

Did exactly that at the last two shows on the final day, selling literature.
Nobody was concerned about it. |

Good question. I heard there was one last time, but didn't find out the details. The bad news is that, having looked at the weather forecast for the coming weekend, there will be rain Saturday & Sunday. Bring your wet weather gear, but we will enjoy! |

Must have been an english weather Institute.
They are used in forecasting rain.
When I look here I get actually told that there might be light rain at friday evening and saturday in the morning. Not the best times for any sort of rain but if that´s really all, well OK. _________________ Master of my domain! |

If you google " Bad Camberg weather" there are half a dozen sites with 10 day forecasts. They all vary slightly, but the consensus is for some light showers at times over the weekend.
We'll have a much better/accurate idea come Wednesday evening via these sites.
Martin, I'll see you there. |
