Jack up one side at a time at the jack points. Swap the fronts to rears yourself. That will make them all 4 wear out at the same time at least. I run 20 lbs air pressure in fronts & 24 lbs in rears. The VW owners manual calls for similar air pressures on the stock tires, but we both have bigger tires. YMMV Wink

low tire pressure will also cause cupping. As with all radial tires the least you should run is 32 psi in each tire. The ride may not be as smooth as a tire with 20psi, but running the highway the should be at their correct pressure. Also her jack points have too much cancer to jack the whole side up at one time. Damn salt!

Very Happy Sounds like you got past us with out collecting you "Silly Al's" pizza and beer.

If you are heading back this way again drop us a line - Florida is great - just summer has some humidity and huge thunder storms.

Las Cruces is one of my favorite places. Saw a most beautiful sunset there.

You might think about Flickr.com as well. 1TB of free photo & video storage; super easy FB uploads, fairly easy to forums (like TS).

Keep the shiny side up!

Looks like "shasta Alaska" is using face book, Utube and Samba to spread the love!

Good luck on your adventure- Would look for a bus for your adventure- (and a dog) would be amazed how much "freer " you feel being able to find that hidden spot along the road. Then just staying there a few days till all the Road dog dirt is washed away.

Arrived in San Antonio. Never have I ever filled up on gas as many times as I have today. Kept getting spooked by everyone that Texas is huge. And it is.

It took 3 days to get cross Texas back in the 80s when I moved to Ore from New Jersey. As Ron White would say "a BOREHOLE". Embarassed

The only entertainment was putting gas in the bus.

Who says we can't learn new things??!! Getting harder to find the good parts and sometimes the crap is all that is available. Sounds like you are having a blast on this trip and meeting a lot of great people. Offer still stands here in Springfield, MO. Look forward to your updates! Dave J

Arrived at the end of my first leg in the florida or bust saga.

Whew!

I could not have done it without the help and support for all of you.
Now I have to store bugsy for a few months(going away for school and burying myself in books).

But I will be back in July.
Bug you then.
