This is what was there.
And then covered by a belly pan.
Yes most of the buses sent to the North Americas have a heated rear window as standard. If there was a case to see it deleted - it would be in a commercial bus. Mine has the defrost rear window. _________________

So I bought a new house - yeah! No more disposable income. I love the new place but dayum. I sure dont like the moving. To top it all off, we kept the other home and rented. So that all had to be dealt with on top of it all. We are now coming out the other side of the moving madness finally.
One of the best things ever was using this bus for what its intended. Hauling
The new home isnt to far from the old so this little bus proved invaluable for lots of runs back and forth. I may put all projects on hold so I can pull the motor - detail clean and fix the eberspacher. The bus deserves it!

Nice! Congratulations on the new house
Dig that that blue panel. Kind of miss the ridiculous
Teddy Bear paint job. That was over the top. So bad it was good.
The blue is proper though. Good luck with the move. |

Can someone describe all that stuff under there? I have a '72 and don't have any of that crap. Does any of it help the heat? _________________ '72 Elm Green Deluxe |

That middle rectangle box is a BA6 gas heater. I don't believe 72 came with a BA6 but could have came with a BA4 heater that was located in the engine bay. But both were optional not a standard item. _________________ 1978 Delux Campmobile

Yep. That is a BA6 Eberspacher Gas Heater. A very optional accessory. It is meant to heat you up more so than the motor can. It came out in 74 I believe and went through the Vanagon Era. If your Bus had an optional heater in 72 it would of been a BN4.
I was lucky to find a panel with this heater on it from the factory. One of the reasons I bought it. I have yet to actually get the thing running - but its all there. _________________

Jason, are those pictures from under your bus? Is that belly pan steel? It almost looks fiberglass in those pictures. _________________ 1978 Delux Campmobile

Not much on improvement. Biggest hing was the hangers for the seat belts Looking slick
I did get a goofy light for the top when I use the bus for emergency services.

Was the clock in the bus when you bought it? Or did you pull that out of the "Toy box"? _________________ Keep on Busin'

That came from the stash
Cant have a delivery vehicle if you don't know what time it is, right? Gota have an Eberspacher to keep you warm on those cold days delivering out to Timbuktu and you gotta be able to clean the headlights and windshield off while traveling the path less taken, right???
