Hello,

I'm rebuilding a fuel pump for my early 55. I purchased an engine with one type of fuel pump on it and I have some others. Which one is correct? One has the screw on the side of the pump - I'm told that's a 53 pump - it has no fuel strainer in it. The other has the screw on top and the strainer goes in it. My engine number is 1-100112. Which is best for my early '55?

Thanks

Your links don't work.

'55 36hp fuel pump:

The filter on top didn't start until '59 (I think).

'54-'55 pumps also have a "wavy" top half. Look at where the screws mount. It's way instead of little slots like your filter pump has.

I think you forgot a # there? Maybe 1 - 1 100 112?

A '53 pump would be 8 mm with a flat fuel inlet:
