hello,
I discover this car a few weeks ago, but I have no Idea of what it could be.
Asking the question to the french VW's website, I cant obtain any positive answer.
The "rumor" says it was a car offered by porshe to the best dealers and that there was only ten of them ever build..
The numbers on the body are :1 5(or 7?)26731
engine is 1854467

looks like someone made a a four doorless no top oval bug. someone may have made 10 or so and stoped. there where hundreds of coach builder customizing vws _________________ 56- Wolfsburg Single Cab |

At least two German coachbuilders made police vehicles of this type during the split era (up to 1952). Sometimes they had doors, sometimes not. I have never seen an oval-era version, and this particular example looks pretty crude.
I would guess this car was a one-off custom made for use as a tour, parade, or promotional vehicle, probably in a tropical climate.

who are this coachbuider? Papler? karman?
this car is not a Karman jolly, this one has two"doors"
this car spent it's life in Cannes, in the Volkswagen/Porsche dealer, and was use to drive customers from or back home... |

almost the same, but this is the "Karman Jolly"
And what is mine???
A new information confirm that an unknown coachbuilder made a few and that ther were all delivered in France..
Could someone tells me more about it??? |
