I've been a fan of this show since the Campbelltown days. I think the current version is even better! Can't be smoked turkey legs and micro brews. Oh, and the car stuff... _________________ I will never lie, but sometimes the truth changes.

I'm gonna do everything I can to come on out. Unfortunately Englishtown is on Sunday and I need to help set up the track Saturday night. So it's gonna be a busy weekend.

A few people from Long Island are cruising out Friday morning. Will be staying at the Americas Best Value Inn, near the old show site in Campbelltown.
Going to do the Auto Museum in Hershey on Friday and likely do dinner somewhere fun. Cursing to the show Saturday morning, and leaving the motel early on Sunday to make it to Englishtown for Show and Go. _________________ Mike

I'll be there - might bring something besides the woodie - with the weather, the only car I have had out so far has been the dune buggy - and that was just for dialing in the new engine.
If you havent been to the show - you have to go! Some of the most amazing cars I have ever seen are at this one. And there is something for everyone. Passing on the new "Campbelltown" show this year - have too much stuff going on. _________________ D-Dubya Manx clone - 63 Short pan,1914.

There's a small group cruising out Friday. Were staying at a motel about 10 minutes from the show. Were heading to the Hershey Auto museum on Friday, then dinner. Saturday is the show. Sunday I'm leaving the motel early so I can get to Englishtown for the Show and Shine.
You're welcome to join. We come from LI, take the Belt-Varrenzano-Outter Bridge South _________________ Mike

This will be a great VW weekend.
PA then NJ.
I may have to find a place to camp around Englishtown.
Will save me a couple hours driving home and back.
Can't wait! Hope for great weather! _________________ Founder and Chairman Emeritus, ECMSAS

Blow off the ball game and go to the show and maybe the daughter will be so angry with you that you will be able to make the next few shows too before she calms down! _________________ Mother Nature is a Mean Evil Bitch! |

Just found out that my daughter's fastpitch team is skipping the tournament scheduled for April 26, so it looks like I'll be able to make it after all. Can't wait! _________________ 66 Sedan L456 "Ramona" |

What is the nearest motel close by the show? And how much? _________________ - Split De luxe 1950

The nearest isn't a good option. There is one very close to the show, but it is always booked up with kids as there is a big soccer tournament the same weekend down the road.
A few of us from Long Island always stay at the Americas Best Value Inn, in Palmyra (right across from the old show venue) the owners are great to us, and it's a very nice 10 minute drive from the show.
Plus, we usually go to the Hershey Auto Museum, on Friday. We'll do dinner, and head to the show in the morning.
You're welcome to join us. _________________ Mike

Were meeting on Friday on Long Island. We head out the Varrenzano to the Outerbridge Crossing and then over.
Typically, we'll stop for lunch along the ride, check into the motel early afternoon. Then, head to the museum and do dinner as a small group. This year I think we have only 4 cars going out. Years past, we had near 20 - but everyone has grown up and had kids! Ugh
The motel:
America's Best Value Inn
2951 Horseshoe Pike
Palmyra, PA 17078
United States
717-838-4761
I forget how much it is to be honest. We are in the habit of getting the same rooms each year. As such, now I really could get one of the smaller rooms but it is what it is lol.
The owner's name is Vijay, nice young (Indian?) guy.
Always knows our group, and if the weather is nice drags out the hose for us to wash the cars on the morning of the show. Lol
If you call over, just let him know you're with the VW group.
Though, feel free to reserve any room you like. As I said, we historically get the same rooms year after year, you probably don't want/need to be in a double. A single would undoubtedly be less expensive.
Museum is like a 10 min drive to the show, and like 10 minutes into Hershey. So it's in a nice spot. _________________ Mike
