That was the absolute best vw event I have ever attended, just fricken awesome! I wish it could last for a week, there just isn't enough time to meet and chat with everyone in one weekend. I made some solid contacts and had fun with some great folks. I brought my atc 70 and had mad fun on it, I looped it out in the dunes and lost my phone haha! Plus camping in my hi top bus was off the chain. I am counting the days before next years event already. I HIGHLY suggest ifn you never been, get to next years. _________________ 1971 Deluxe Sunroof Bay 1905 stroker, dual idf40's, 74mm Scat forged crank, engle 110 cam. Thanks to the London Bridge Bullis for making this great show happen!!
Lots of great folks, made new friends and met up with some I hadn't seen in years. Awesome event. Morning balloon launch:
Nice buses everywhere, I really liked this 64' og paint standard:
The guys from Sandy Eggo area made it, these dudes know how to camp.
Cy's sweet postal yellow double door panel:
What's up G?
Doug's 55 deluxe:
Maurice's Kombi:
Met up with an old friend from my BMX racing days. Woody's camper bus, super cool with teak wood interior:
The Heilite Mafia was in full effect, I had no idea they rolled so deep! Here you can see one of them planning a future hit:
As always, Sunday arrived too soon and it was time to get back to the ranch.

Have any more aerial shots?
With all the drones flying around I was expecting to see some amazing photos and vids.
BTW, if you look for 2015 balloon festival videos you can catch an occasional glimpse of BBB |

Hey all,
I'm working on my event article for Kombi Life Magazine, and I'm looking for a couple bits of info. If anyone can assist, it would be appreciated!
1. Who won the chili cook-off?
2. Who won the motor, and where are they from?
3. What were the specs of the motor?
Thanks _________________ Eric

Anyone know?! I'd love to recognize these folks in the article if possible, otherwise I'll have to do a quick edit.
Update: I found the winner of the Chili Cookoff. Still looking for the winner of the motor. _________________ Eric
