Not just that but there's a lot LESS at the Jerome Jamboree that he's asking for at Havafew! Confused

Are there any provisions for electric hook ups?

Only at the official campground just down the road from where all the Buses will be. You could camp there and walk into the event, much like folks staying in the hotel... but it'll cost you far more than $40 for the entire weekend (and you best make reservations).

There were a few folks who had them this year, but solar is better. Wink

Bring your bike and ride (or simply walk) the mile down to McDonald's.

As for the Bus Raffle, you're confusing Buses By The Bridge with Jerome Jamboree. Wink But, BBTB has awesome raffle stuff... one of these years I'm taking home a fire pit! Pray Laughing

Got the McD's scoped out, thanks!!!!
That'll get me the WIFI, and maybe some charging while there.......
I did check out that campground, full.......

Wife picked up a "battery pack" from Radio Shack that will do a couple of charges on the cell phone. That may be enough.....

Also looking at portable solar panels for the cell phones....
My assumption is that I can also use it to trickle charge the main battery on the Vanagon. My only draw on the Vanagon battery while "dry" camping would be the fan on the refer.......

Thank you for the suggestions.....

And yeah...... I had my raffles mixed up.......

Depends on the solar charger. I, personally, have this one http://www.amazon.com/Solsti-Eclipse-Portable-Sola...=Solsti+10 ; works great (charges my dumbphone, camera or iPod in an hour or two; the little battery pack in the set is virtually useless, though). Comes with 12v battery attachments, albeit alligator clips; I had ring terminal connections from AC-powered chargers, which I have connected permanently to both batteries (you can purchase separately http://www.amazon.com/Battery-Tender-081-0069-6-Te...6FE9D70K1B ).

However, with 10 watts and above, you don't want to connect the panel without a charge controller (which I have), unless it's for brief periods of time (i.e. a few hours vs. all day).

The fridge fan won't be running much at night, so if solar isn't in the cards you can always simply run the engine for a bit each day to top the battery up, if it's needed.

I'm hoping to make BBB 2015 my first one......
I'll most likely leave the DC at home and bring the Vanagon......

I've read the threads on BBB 2013 and BBB 2014.....

And I have a couple of questions.....

There's no way I can go from Thursday to Sunday w/o charging stuff up.....
Are there any provisions for electric hook ups?
Can I bring the generator?

The slow drive from Colorado, hanging out, and driving slowly back home, means the trip is at least eight days. Longer if I win the bus in the raffle....
Smile
It would help if I could get some "work" done on the lap top.... Any WIFI in the area????

Thanks,
Chuck

We have RV camper area on site, you can use a QUIET generator toll 10P.M. in the evening.

You might be able to find an open Wi Fi signal, if not ask some one staying at one of the close hotels for a password.

The state Park camp ground has electric hook ups.

Get a solar charger, you'll see a lot of the Vanago people with them

I do have a "quiet" generator. One of those Honda RV models.....

What is the etiquette for driving in and out of the campsite area?
I see that there is a Thursday "dice run", so I assume that driving in and out is done.....

While installation of a solar system for this event just isn't in the budget, I am planning on picking up one of those "battery packs" (around 10K mah) to charge the cell phones as needed..... Use of a generator would only be needed for an unforeseen emergency.......

Thanks,
Chuck

The area is very crowded and we discourage driving in and out unless you park in the outskirts. If you park around the grass area, or the cabana areas you will not be able to get in or out as it's very tight. Look at previous pics on the samba and you can see the are, somewhere there is even a video taken from the air of the event area.

There is an area we call Vanagon Acres where a lot of the Vanagon crowd park. It's a nice area tucked away from all the noise and hoopla and they are a good group of people.

All the LBB staff will be easy seen this year as we all will be wearing NEON GREEN staff shirts. If anybody has a question or a problem just find anyone in one of these shirts, they can either help you or direct you someone who can.

This will be my first BBB, but after reading through the threads and talking to others, I'm sure it will not dissapoint!

I decided to make a run of Hurst bumpers that I will bring to the show. So here's the deal. If you would like to pre-order either a front or rear Hurst bumper, I will make the bumper(s) without a deposit. Once I complete the bumper(s), I will call or email you for payment. I will then tag your bumper with your information, set it aside, and deliver it to BBB for FREE.

Depending upon the amount of orders, depends on how long I will take orders, to make sure that I can fulfill all of the orders prior to the show.

If you would like to pre-order you can email [email protected]. The bumpers run $600 each or $1,100 for the set and come unfinished. Pressed and later style bumpers available, but no bay window models at this time. Paypal, cash, or money order accepted.

Thanks, Mike

I would get a floppy sun hat! Already have a beanie.

Can't wait, just have to get through all this holiday garbage, then it's time for Havasu!

Generators in the bus areas are rude! IMO.

72 days!!! Very Happy

Dogs on leashes are absolutely welcome. Just make sure to clean up after him.
