So i have been a vintage racing fan for quite a while, i recently sold my 74 mgb gt which i ran in a few autocross events. I stumbled upon some AWESOME information about notchback rally cars and i must say i am having a very hard time not wanting to build my car in to a historic rally car. I have a very clean rust free newly painted 65 notch sitting on a IRS subframe. I guess my question is what can i do to improve the handling of the car? also does anybody have any additional information on the Harry Kallstrom notchback that took 2nd in the 1963 RAC rally? or any specific information on the cars and how they were set up? id love to see some more detail pictures if anybody knows where to find them. Anyway any thoughts or help would be awesome. check out this site if you havnt already |

Hmmm, 63? it looks like the Notch is a 64. Was it a race in late 63? It would be interesting to know more about the race prep. |

You might want to contact Stonefish on here, as he's got a 65 Notch, that he hill climbs in SCCA events in PA. His 65 also has IRS in the rear, as I've seen the car in person. It might give you some ideas on what you want to do. _________________ Bob 65 Notch S with Sunroof

Here's a shot from the '63 RAC rally. Not the 2nd place notch but one of the other ones. Bengt Jansson, 13th place. Pushing the limits of the swingaxles right there.
