|
i have been lurking for some time now but thought it is about time i post some pictures... This is my first splitty that i bought last october... i have had 3 other Westfalias in the past. Currently have a 1983 westfalia with 81,300 original miles and have owned it for the last 17 years... Hopefully soon the weather gets warm and can start cleaning/ripping up the splitty..... i am not in a huge hurry to get it restored, just a project to keep me in the garage..

cool runner.
You should post some pictures after a good vacuum-hose/rub down- job and I'm sure it'll be a whole other bus already.
Needs the classical rockers/floor patches, but it 'll be worth it.
Good luck with the build, keep those pictures comming. |

There seem to be more midwest project busses popping up lately. Are you in MN? Good luck! _________________ '66 SO-42

Sweet looking bus! Check out Further Performance in Minneapolis. I worked there for a period of time and the crew is top notch. They do some really nice aircooled mechanical restorations. As far as body work, there was a guy named Jeff Gagnon in North Dakota for the longest time who did a really nice job on a number of AC VW's. He may still be there, something to check into.
Otherwise, looks like a great project! Take a lot of pictures and be sure to update your thread. _________________ 68' Westy Weekender
