i have been lurking for some time now but thought it is about time i post some pictures... This is my first splitty that i bought last october... i have had 3 other Westfalias in the past. Currently have a 1983 westfalia with 81,300 original miles and have owned it for the last 17 years... Hopefully soon the weather gets warm and can start cleaning/ripping up the splitty..... i am not in a huge hurry to get it restored, just a project to keep me in the garage.. Laughing

cool runner.

You should post some pictures after a good vacuum-hose/rub down- job and I'm sure it'll be a whole other bus already.

Needs the classical rockers/floor patches, but it 'll be worth it.

Good luck with the build, keep those pictures comming.

There seem to be more midwest project busses popping up lately. Are you in MN? Good luck!

Sweet looking bus! Check out Further Performance in Minneapolis. I worked there for a period of time and the crew is top notch. They do some really nice aircooled mechanical restorations. As far as body work, there was a guy named Jeff Gagnon in North Dakota for the longest time who did a really nice job on a number of AC VW's. He may still be there, something to check into.

Otherwise, looks like a great project! Take a lot of pictures and be sure to update your thread.
