It's a Grant wheel and I'm pretty sure the part that slides on the steering shaft the steering wheel bolts to is part of the adapter kit to make it fit.

I need to remove it and it's not sliding off the shaft. Can't see a retaining pin or clip.. It slides a little them stops.

Whose done this and knows?

Thanks.

You need a steering wheel puller.

Is that an aftermarket adaptor for that particular steering wheel? Is it designed to use a puller to slide it off the splines?

I'm pretty sure it's part of the adapter kit.

Yes its an adapter for an aftermarket wheel, a puller will help it slide off.
This is kinda what you have.

Thanks Dave, your post gave me an idea to bolt the steering wheel up and gently pull... It's off!

The kit you linked is it.. I replaced my steering box and it moved the steering wheel towards the driver and I slid the column tube also but just a little short of where it's needed. There is a small bind with the steering wheel at the top of the shaft.

This is what I'm trying to trouble shoot. Any ideas on that?

This was the spacing before I started to move the outer column tube

Is your steering coupler pushed all the way in ?
Maybe your turn signal wires are preventing the column from coming up far enough ?

Steering coupler is all the way in and I removed the Turn signal housing itself to remove that as a limiting factor.

Now trying to learn what the correct spacing is now that everything is clear and can be aligned without interference.
