so i was driving around boise today, and this guy stiffed me on my labor job by $40 bucks, and as i was leaving a really nice suburb very angrily, i went to pull out into a busy intersection, hit second gear and as i let off the clutch, it snapped and went limp, collapsing on the floor. those pics are of my pedal assembly, isnt there supposed to be a hook to hold the clutch cable? im lucky i made it +40 miles back to my house without any damage other then to my nerves and grinding some gears. needless to say id never learned how to float gears, but did today purely from necessity its a good thing i knew the basic idea of it. i tried to use a phone charger cord to pull my clutch cable manually, but only got a inch or so of movement... anyways its probably that clutch arm isnt it? i really dont want to pull the motor again

back the adjusting nut off of the clutch cable all the way but not completely off and push the cable forward you should be able to grab it and re hook it to clutch pedal.
that is after you either weld the hook back on or replace pedal assy

Stick a couple of fingers inside the hole and you should feel the end of cable at rear side of hole in tunnel.... I usually remove adjusting nut (at clutch arm) and push cable forward a bit and use plastic wire tie to secure hook to cable (it will self destruct) and put pedal assembly back in... Reconnect and adjust cable at clutch arm... Last thing you want to do is lose cable loop off hook once pedal assembly is bolted in...

This cut away pic should give you a clue to where clutch cable/tube should be in relationship to pedal assembly..

Upgrade shaft such as this one, will not let you lose loop as you reassemble pedal assembkt in to tunnel...

That would be your fuel line. Break line runs through the car.

Much simpler and easier and more reliable to just get new shaft with intact hook...
