|
|
New to the SoCal area and want to attend either the Bug-In or Bugorama. As they are on back-to-back weekends, don't think I can swing both. Any recommendations? I do prefer 1/4 mile drag racing over 1/8th but am open for either show. _________________ 1967 Bug (Second owner) |

I've only been to one at Fontana, but Irwindale is very convenient and has a better swap space, IMO.
I typically agree with you on 1/8 vs 1/4, but honestly 1/4 mile is a little long for some cars. You could go get a hot dog in the time it takes for the thing to be over.
I don't think you could go wrong either way. Or you could just go to the Spring picnic, it's a lot more fun to watch the slow drags, and it's a hell of a lot cheaper. |

Go to Bug In if you are interested in Nostalgia type cars, ie: Inch Pincher Lightning bug ect. Darrell Vittone will be racing Paul Schley, lots of old time VW guys about. if you want to see modern PRA racing then Fontana will be the place. With the Spring picnic the same day, I bet it will be mostly racers at Fontana, not the show car, swap ect. |
