I dont know what is going on. I was told i should replace the inner and outer bushings on my things. But, as i am trying to put them back in they will not fit. The spring plate and rod look straight and normal, but the plate cover will not line up bolt on or anything. Not sure what i have done wrong. Got the plate cover on the other side, but the cover does not sit center on the spring plate... help ... why?

All of the torque from the torsion bar will make the plate difficult to line up. Once you get one threaded it will become easier. I don't know how others do it but i wrap a 5/16 proof coil chain around the upper shock mount and fasten both ends around the axle of my floor jack with a 3/8 grade 8 bolt with flat washers.

I then Jack the spring plate up a bit to relieve downward pressure on the torsion bar. Just enough to get one bolt started. Dont lift the vehicle off the ground!

If you have a drift punch it will help get things lined up.

Once one is started I use C-clamp vise grips to help pull the plate in and start the threads of the other 3 bolts

Keep out from under it and make the vehicle is not going to fall on you.

Interested how others do it as well

may want to go with longer bolts to get them started, once "sucked up" into place, you can replace, went through this recently. took a little wrestling

longer bolts really helped.

I use 2 long bolts diagonally to draw it in. Then use the original bolts in the other 2 holes. Then the long bolts can be replaced with the originals.

Agree, longer bolts and tighten in a cross pattern. Then swap to the correct bolts.

The cover pretty much preloads the bushings when installed. What you are seeing is normal.

If you don´t have longer bolts (like me) use some small c clamps or vice grips and line the holes up with a screw driver.

Don't munge up the threads.
