So I ended up talking to Eric and he was very helpful to select some lines that'll work well and look good at a great price. Thanks Eric, should be here tomorrow. Now after a couple years of planning this build and just having this small hiccup in my way and me being inpatient lol. I decided to check out a hydraulic fitting store in town. This place is huge and has everything. I went a head and got some push loc and JIC just so I can run the motor and also have some backup lines under the hood.

that's the good stuff. 400psi hi temp push lok. technically you don't need clamps. personally, I would run a hose clamp for extra insurance.

What is high temp?
A clamp can cut the inner tube.

if it's parker hose its 302° F. yes, a clamp can cut the inner hose. just don't crank it down. basically you want it to prevent the hose from expanding. you don't have to use one. I just like the extra insurance, I've seen a push lok blow off once but I've seen regular crimped hydraulic hose fail more.

I've seen very few crimped lines burst. Actually, I retract that. The one I did see burst was because the landing gear of the aircraft hit a coyote on a runway so that doesn't count. Now I work with 20,000 psi hydraulic presses and have yet to see a crimped hose give out.

I've seen plenty of push-lok hose give, though.

Eric, it's just a push loc 302 temp Parker hose. I got it from a hydraulic place in my town. It was cheap, and figured that way I could break in and tune my motor while I wait for the lines you made me.Little inpatient lol. that way I figure, I have an extra set of hoses under the hood ready if I get a leaky line.

Cool.......Yeah, 300 deg minimum. You don't wont to be on that outer cusp of the temp range when is comes to the life blood of your engine.

Only time I've seen push lock fail, is when it's assembled with a petroleum product. I use liquid dish soap for my hose lube, it will dissipate.

I've seen the hose burst at the barbed end. We use dish soap as well at work.

How many of these failures are on a VW engine full flow system? You're scaring the hell out of people with your industrial machinery hydraulic problems that see PSI many time higher then a VW engine sees.

I don't take chances with oil and fuel applications. Steer folks to the best, and be worry free.

I know you don't. Why are you suggesting that I am?
