So, I saw this car last week in southern WA state. Looks like a Jetta or Golf on the front, with a box on the back. Looks factory. The badge on the back of the vehicle said "VAN". Looked around online and came up with nothing. Its pretty cool though.

It's a second generation Caddy: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Volkswagen_Caddy#Caddy_Typ_9K_.281995.E2.80.932003.29 . Because it has a panel rear, its sub-model is Caddy Van. Never officially sold in the USA.

That's a popular commercial vehicle in Europe. Seat Inca, it's based on the Seat Ibiza platform, probably a bunch of other names for the same thing overseas.

Yes, it's the next generation of the old Mk 1 Caddy (see below) and, IMHO, is a terrible travesty.
