|
|
I sent Everett an email the other day asking him if it was alright to start a thread on the new parts that we are starting to release, we thought these parts were pretty important to the hobby, considering how difficult they are becoming, or have become to source....
we will start with the complete nose panel, barndoor, euro, bullets and fried egg
move on to the complete front door skins, barndoor, middle and later
complete front doors with hinges, barndoor, middle and later doors
complete barndoor cargo doors
complete early flat cargo doors
complete later cargo doors
noses are being shipped as we speak to about 5 customers worldwide that will install them and give us feedback on proper fit and looks....stay tuned....

Have you considered simply starting with a nicer bus? I don't know what your skills are, but the race is easier if you can see the finish line. If you are not a runner, don't start off doing a marathon. |

Complete front doors with hinges..... WOW! How did you source the hinges
and are they riveted in like original or different?
Either way, thanks for continuing to support this great hobby. _________________ RPM=(MPH*336* (R&P*4th*1.26))/Tire Diameter in inches |

Way to go Gerson and staff! Even if there end up being a few tweaks to get these initial items perfect, you deserve kudos for helping all of us with quality parts to repair and restore our old Buses! Every once in a while you probably wonder if it's all worth it. Be assured from the vast majority of us that yes, your efforts are worth it! Thanks for all of your efforts for this hobby!

i know the skins have been done by others, but congrats on making a awesome piece!
in all seriousness Gerson, how long till you make buses from scratch with the repair panels?
apart from the complete roof turret, what else do u need to replicate/stamp out to do this? _________________ shiny paint doesnt make it worth any more |

we have just seen some rear tosion housings that are being made in Germany for the Swimwagen repros that have given us some good ideas on how to go about making the rear torsion housings with out machinist in Fla.....I think this is the last MAJOR hurdle to overcome.....it's inevitable that full builds are just around the corner....... _________________ that's not patina, that's fucking rust man!!!!

Nice work as always!
Another suggestion…how about vent sections for both buses and trucks? You already do truck corners, how about just the vents? _________________ Larry in OB
