|
|
Effective today I moved all the Login/Logout/Control Panel/Help/etc. links to a header at the very top of the site.
A little while back a member pointed out to me that the "Logout" link was directly over the menus and caused him to often accidentally log out.
I realized he was right as I had done that a few times myself.
So... Changed!
Feedback welcome.
Also - Do people use the big "Login" box at the top of the Forums?
It's a duplicate full login box that appears nowhere but the Forums so not really needed. I am considering removing it.

Feedback.. sure... took a few seconds to find it.. and then.. since I didnt see my user name in the normal spot.. kept thinking I wasnt logged in...
Nice progressive refinement big "E"..
I occasionally use the log in strip in the forums.. in case Im cruising anonymous and then see something to contribute to.

Good. I've hit that log out so many times on my phone and tablets by accident. |

Great idea with the new format.
I use either box to log in. My vote would be to leave it. |

Ive got the forums page on auto complete. I usually bypass the homepage when coming to The Samba. With that said, I use the forums log in quite abit. |

Really liking the new header for the site, great addition. I too stay logged in so the login box isn't a big deal but it is convenient when using other computers or devices. _________________ Current: '73 standard (yellow) '76 standard (rust/gold )

It's supposed to highlight in red when you have a message. _________________ Donate to TheSamba.com

It is in dark orange/reddish, I just got one.
Due to coloring, I have noticed it is not as obvious now, I am considering making it bold as well to enhance it.
I recommend anyone using the site allow their browser to "allow popups from TheSamba.com" and enable PM popups in their profile (this is the default but it is blocked in most modern browsers).
The pop-up is much more obvious as a notification. _________________ How to Post Photos

Ok.. yes it IS a dull red.. just not noticeably BRIGHT as it was previuosly..
Bold would be better... or another color that POPS against all the bland..
No big deal.. Thanks for all that youz guyz do!

Perhaps the forum login boxes could be above the navigation drop down menus? I accidentally click on search 50% of the time instead of landing my cursor in the username box, but I'm also an impatient tool... _________________ Build thread: http://www.thesamba.com/vw/forum/viewtopic.php?t=212747
