If you're coming from the East Side of Lake Washington westbound Interstate 90 will be reduced to one lane at Bellevue Way Southeast from 9:30 p.m. Friday, July 18 until 5 a.m. Friday, July 25. That’s 24-hours-a-day for a week, and yes, it’s going to be messy.
Stage 1

I had a great time at the show, Pretty big turn out. The swap meet was a bit confusing though. People would park in a line then one person would park 90 degrees and change up the direction. It turned into a human etch-a-sketch. Half way down a row you would end up on the wrong side of someone's table. I was not going to post about it until I overheard multiple people commenting about it. A big thanks to everyone who put on the show, Just pointing it out for next year. _________________ Schrodinger's cat walked into a bar and it didn't.

Learning curve for the new venue! Thanks for the feedback, much appreciated! We will be taking everthing into consideration.
Over all... awesome show! Much more than we expected in every way! Some classes doubled in size! Just blown away by how many people supported the show and new venue!
Thank you VW community!! _________________ 78 Riviera

Best thing about the show was the "gauntlet" of busses lining both sides of the outer lane leading into the show.
Another well done event. Saw old friends, made new ones, had a great day.
Hats off to Bill and the slew of volunteers that make this event better and more fun each year. |

overheard more then one swapper say they didn't like being in the parking lot that was at a angle made it hard to set-up and some parts would not stay in place
I think that may be part of the reason the swap rows were randomly placed as some preferred to lend one way and others preferred the other way
otherwise it was a good show for a new set-up i'm sure the bugs will be worked out for next year _________________ '60 15 window walkthrough

Perhaps the swap at the other end of the parking lot by the 100th st. entrance? Just a thought but still was an awesome turnout. _________________ Schrodinger's cat walked into a bar and it didn't.

WoW! What a day! The bus layout was Curts idea and sorta last minute but brilliant. Overall way more cars and people than expected. Next year we'll be to capacity. _________________ 78 Riviera

The raffle car looked really cool... I just wish I was one of the 20 people who bought up all the tickets. |

I found a nice vw emblem on the ground in front of my swap meet space. Somebody most have dropped it (or it rolled away from someone else's booth). Anyway, I feel bad taking it home, so if you lost one, shoot me a PM with a description and if you can describe it I'll send it to you. If not, you can buy it from my table next year! (I'll get over feeling bad about it by then). |

Another great Vintage Meet. I can see running out of room if the swap gets any bigger. Much better than around a track and walking across all that grass. Perfect weather...thanks again to all that put in the time. _________________ ---

Yes !! Was a great show, The Cascade Kombis and volunteer's did a great job pulling it off at the new venue !! Agree that its worth looking into putting the swap into the North end parking lot on level ground.
I too liked the Bus show area !! maybe could fit the swap in the middle of the show between the type 1's and type 2's ?

Another thing to consider, I heard that many people say they walked right in without paying (unsure if it was intentional or not) SO may want to figure away prevent that ? |
