does anyone know if 912s were fitted with aircon from new as i will remove the old unit from my 68 912 if it isnt original

I think available at the dealer. The birth certificate would confirm originality. Shipping would be a fortune, wish you were more local so that I could buy it from you, it's getting hot here in Texas!

i believe yes. i had a friend who had a 69 with air and it had numerous porscheair stickers

thanks lads
we dont have a heat problem in the UK..just bloody rains all the time..the unit doesnt have a condensor and is quite shoddy..if it wasnt fitted originally its gone..how do i get a birth cert..

In US market accessories like AC and gas heaters were port or dealer installed. You can get a modern SANYO compressor which is much more efficient (uses less power) to replace old boat anchor. Removing all the parts will leave a lot of holes.
