Hey, I am wanting to import a VW 411 from South Africa to Australia, Does anyone know the process of importing a car from south Africa? The car doesn't have any papers (which means nothing to me cause we don't have "papers" in Australia).
any advice would be good

I would start by trolling your federal government's website, specifically the ministry of transportation and it should give you the restrictions and requirements that you need to know. I did this when importing my 412 from the the USA. It was a lot easier than I expected, you just needed the paperwork they wanted to be in order. SA may need some sort of paperwork done for export. To have the US government allow my car prepped for export, I had to fax a bill of sale, signed title etc. to the border 72 hours in advance to show that there were no liens etc on the car. They stamped the paperwork when I arrived, I crossed into Canada, paid GST on the purchase cost of the car, and off I went. They never even came out to inspect it. _________________ 1970 Campmobile Click to view image
