Hi All,

Just stripped down a 914 engine ive had in my garage for a couple of years. Its going in my 73 bay, im aware of the tin and engine carrier differences.

My question is in regards to the dissy, it currently has a 009 but i hear they shouldnt be used on these engines. The carbs are solex ps36-40 pdsi. What dissy should i use?

Thanks in advance

Here is the one I'm using in my 1.7 914. It is a great improvement over the 009. If not find a distributor from a 1.8 914 engine which works well with carbs.

I have been looking at getting one of those after hearing Pertronix was having some issues with the vacuum advance canister. How is the HotSpark working for you?
