Well tomorrow Morning Scott Drollet is leaving early and driving to pick up my early first generation square air box Manx in Bakersfield , this is the Time Capsule Manx or Known as the El Tejon dealership Manx . He then will bring it to get freshened up for the Big Bear Bash .
I asked him to take pictures when he picks it up tomorrow and hopefully he will post them , as I am very excited to see the buggy !

No Sweat Marc . . .Glad to help out, plus I really wanted to see it.
It is gorgeous. The nicest gelcoat I've ever seen on a buggy this age. Unfortunately, I'm really struggling to shrink the photos to fit here on Samba. So, I hope you don't mind that I started the same thread on the Manx Site. You're more than welcome to take those photos and post them over here, or I can give you access to my photobucket site if that's easier. I haven't had time to clean out the interior yet, but I'll do that soon and get you better photos of the inside of it.
Also, please let me know if you want a pic of something specific

That thing is so cool. How many other cars not tagged in 30 years can be "freshened up" so quickly and brought back to life? Not many I think. |

Here is a little update on the Tejon Manx , Scott towed it to Jims VW in Monterey Park were it is going through a complete Make over , they have pulled the tank out and are having it tumbled so it will be like new , taking apart wheels and doing all breaks , rebuilding dual carbs , rebuilding fuel pump, and all lines and fluid , new 6 volt battery , well that's for now they were going to try and have it stared by last night.
Not sure if she started yet ,or not
According to Jim it is on a complete type 3 frame , engine , and other parts |
