Bought a 2.2 Subaru takeout engine from Seth. Item was as listed, this guy is a pro with over 25 conversions under his belt.
He was coming to the Bay Area for another show and actually came and help install it ( Actually I helped him). Seth is a stand up guy, does as he says and very knowledgeable about VW's in general, but I think he'd rather be keeping bees or riding his bike. I would buy from him again with no reservation.

Bought a set of European e-code headlights from Seth. Arrived on time, well packaged, and exactly as advertised. Thumbs up.

BAD SELLER! I bought two AAP transmissions and a diesel bellhousing from Syncrozilla AKA Seth.
First, the bellhousing. It was from a Syncro which the ad did not say, and there was no photo. The bellhousing was heavily corroded with entire bosses unfit. I considered the bellhousing unusable. Photos:

The transmissions were no better. The long shot ad photos cleverly didn’t show any corrosion. I had them shipped to my transmission builder and he reported the cases were unusable. One transmission was NOT an AAP, which meant it didn’t have the gearing I expected. Seth apologized and offered me a measly $100 refund, or the option to return it for a full refund at his shipping expense. The entire transaction was costly and disappointing. I got the feeling this guy is selling his rejects to unsuspecting Samba buyers. I will never do business with him again. _________________ Vanagon ’83 diesel AAZ w/Giles injection, 5spd 4.57R&P+TBD and a '78 diesel Rabbit |
