|
|
Hello
Some year ago, I bought 1950 split in Sweden, Stockholm. From this time till now this split is in my workshop and I'm doing my best to get 1950 Split back to the road. If somebody interest, here is my blog http://www.samsgarage.org/projects/1950-brezel-aus-schweden You may use google translate for translation from Czech.
I bought this car from dealer in Stockholm. During the time, I found the real owner of this car and he says that he sold car including matching number engine. But during the trades in Sweden, this engine was lost and was probably sold separately. My last tracks are going to Joakim K, Huddinge, Sweden (19.May 2008).
This engine is part of wide history of this car and I will really needs to have engine matching number. Can someone help me to found this piece of puzzle ? I will accept your price or I have lots of KDF or rare post war engines for trade (including VW engine 1950 made, but his number is wrong.)
My lost baby (engine) has number 1-02231XX (last two digits are hidden for security reason). If somebody will know anything about this engine, please let me know. Right information will be rewarded. You may contact me via PM or email sam (at) samsgarage (dot) org
Thanks in advance and sorry fro my poor English.

hi Sameleon!
i can not help you tracking down your original engine but i'm sure going to keep my eyes open for you!
i think it would be nice to start a topic (database) on thesamba with all lost engines. the chance of finding your old engine back or at least an engine that is very closed numbered is much greater i think?
i'm also missing my original engine, and i want to find it back
what would everttb suggest???
best regards
Steven |
