I would like to buy a repro shifter lock. Does anybody have experience with the one WW offer? How about the one on CIP1? There is a price difference, and I'm wondering if those are different products? Or made by the same manufacturer in China? Wink The keys in the WW version seem to have there logo on them. Hmmm... which to buy?

CIP1:

Both those locks are the exact same. Don't concern yourself too much about the logo on the key

And how do the early and late versions differ?

Reading up on this would be good. I've heard of a couple instances of them locking randomly while driving. There's several threads on here about it

i couldn't see that ever happening unless you leave the key in it after you unlock the shifter.

After buying a couple of the other brands and having problems with them. Bought one from Wolfsburg West. Better quality then the others. Never had a problem with it.
One thing is with the one from Wolfsburg West is the key stays in lock cylinder when it unlocked. Comes with quick release for your key chain.
This is in a buggy that sees on and off road. Even in very rough off road trails with buggy bouncing around and high vibrations conditions key never turns from its open position.

....as do the original German Sperrwolf shifter locks.
Key only comes out when shifter is in locked position.
