Hi everybody,

I am looking for the exact dimensions of the Wind deflector for the Manx buggy.
Is someone has a plan or a drawing of the deflectors ?

I think there will be more than one answer to this question and dont think there is an "exact"measurement for these. There have been numerous aftermarket providers over the years.

You could cut a cardboard template till you have good scale or porportions for the height of the windshield you are using and your car.

Back a few years ago when I was a machinist (sigh) I Made a fixture and wrote a program that would cut the wing out of Lexan. It was a prototype I was working on and I took the dimensions from an actual Sears Rascal set. Life got in the way and that was that. I have the fixture plate but the program was on floppy and lost to time. Wouldn't be hard to do if I had access to a CNC mill. I think the hinges may have just been sourced from the boating industry. I had a book of machining projects that I'll look into to see if I took any notes

Dom,

I have an original set. How soon do you need these? I can trace them out and maybe scan it to you

Did you ever get a scan of the originals? I was looking for a set for mine too but haven't been able to find them yet.

Check with Meyers Manx. They are getting ready to start selling them soon, if not already.

The ones I saw when I was there a couple of weeks back were Lexan. There was not any hardware on them, so I not sure how they mount. Winnie said they would mount the same as the original ones.
They were nice looking.

I gave a set to Vince in NC because I did not think I would use them (the hinges were clunky), but I saved a copy of the shape ..just in case.
