Man, I can't even see straight at the moment! After airing back up, I only had about a 1.5 hour drive back home. I can't imagine how tired the rest of the crew must be since they were looking at probably another 5+ hours of driving. Pictures and stories will come. Just need a little recovery time.

My other rear tire (not the one we changed on the trail) wouldn't hold air so I had to stop every half hour and top it up the whole way home! Then I was greeted with an hour wait at the border! Shocked

Ooff! That makes for a long trip back.

Hey, did Jack remember to give you your license plate that he picked up on the trail?

It was a great surprise climbing that hill on Hawkins (a fairly obscure section of a popular Northwest Cascades trail) to meet four awesome Syncros at the top heading down, then hooking up at the big intersection again on the way down. Just wish I would have caught you earlier to spend more time following Syncros on the trail.

Nice job on the big hill climb, that's no small feat. (Hmmm, the Legend of Crankshaft Hill lives on!)

Great chatting with you guys.

That trail and the Cle Elum River area in general is a favorite of mine.

Astro Guy, man, it was so cool getting to meet you and chat about your rig.

They always say its a small world, but I truly never thought that we would end up meeting you way out there on those trails. Sure glad we did though! Glad you made it home safely with your bandaged up front suspension.

"Legend of Crankshaft Hill"...very fitting name for that beast of a hill!

Rolled in just after midnight...
Yep, got my plate. I'll need to figure out a new way to mount it on my punctured bumper! Laughing

X2 on the phwewh. Seriously epic adventure of mud, blood, sweat, beer and grease. We arrived just after midnight and left unpacking for today. 1 1/2 hours of run away throttle on the way home, I think from sucking fuel threw the charcoal canister into the intake mainifold. Big thanks to everyone for help, support and smiles! I'll follow with some pictures and video later.... I've got some good stories too! Wink
Dave I'm glad you got home alright, you were in our minds on the drive home.
Cheers

Thanks for the warm reply, Christopher. Don't hesitate to PM me if you'd ever want another vehicle along, even on short notice.

Dave, had I known I could have given you my air compressor for the home bound drive, if you didn't already have one. Easy enough to figure out a plan to get it later. (Always looking for a reason to go to Vancouver). Regardless glad everyone finally made it home.

Hey, thanks for the offer! I did have my compressor with me - that little guy paid for itself ten times over this trip!
When I got to the I5 a friendly gent in a sweet white Vanagon with RMW bumpers pulled over to offer help too. Washington is full of good people!

Just adding a link to the WBCDR trip thread. There are probably too many photos and stories to tell to keep adding to this thread.

Thanks for the offer! I just may take you up on that sometime. It would be great to do another small gathering of Syncros and maybe have you show us around a bit up there sometime.

X2 on what Christopher said. It was cool to talk to you astroMan. Funny thing was we were singing your praises the night before we ran into you. Your always welcome at events down here in Portland, if your dropping through town give us a shout.

Ah well not yet. Very Happy

I can do the 24th of August if that works for people. Roll call!! We can swing the dates if everyone has plans. But September gets really busy with harvest really fast with this hot weather.

Cheers

Approve of 24th!

We are striking out for basically all the events this summer with conflicts. No NWMF for us either. Wine will make it all better.

Sounds good to me!
August 24th is the date for the Argyle winery tour! More details to come as I figure them out. This will probably land on being a two part tour with a mob cruise in between. We can probably due some light lunch or early dinner on one side of the tour or the other. Guggenheim of course your welcome, Come one come all!
Cheers
