Howdy Folks!
Well after another great Mogfest under our belts its time to look forward to other events! I had tons of fun in the PDX camp, it was great to meet some new faces and share some brews and make some new memories. Chattting around with people it seems like its time to start talking about the Argyle Winery tour. This year is going to be a bit diffrent due to changes in the Argyle scenery. Our production is moving into Newberg so we will have a pre-ribbon cutting tour for y'all. The plan seems to be best executed as follows.
Sunday August 24th 2014!
12-1:30 Arrival at the new facility. Tour and walk around. Still under some construction but really cool to look at! Tanks, Presses, general winemaking goodies..
-New Facility Address is 800 Brutscher st. Newberg OR
1:30-2pm Leave the new facility in mass for a group ride five miles down the road to the Argyle winery.
2pm-? Chill out @ Argyle taste some wines and tour through the sparkling winemaking process. Kick some tires, chat and late lunch/ small bites. There is perhaps a chance of vineyard viewing if theres time and interest.
-Argyle Winery Address- 691 HWY 99W Dundee OR
We have some lawn games and some wine. I will provide some light eats, but feel free to bring some nibblies. BYOB if wine isn't your style. Please come check out whats happening because its cool! It sounds like there should be some sweet vans and cool peeps showing up.
Again Thanks to all for the good times at MogFest! We also had a bunch of chatter about a Labor day campout. Purhaps we can lock down some plans this weekend!
Cheers!

Count us in for Argyle!! Party of 2.
Sad to have missed NWMF, but we planned our road trip about 6 months ago and didn't even think about the conflict. We even spotted Wild Bill on the other side of 101 in Cali taking a leak as he headed North. Yes, that was us honking and yelling at you Bill!
Our first millennium trip. 1017 miles. 101 south down to Cape Blanco, to Redwoods, to Galice, to Ashland, to Crater Lake, to Sisters, then home.
Only part failure was clutch slave cylinder. (thank goodness it gave up in Ashland. Thanks Euro Mek!)
4 miles into the awful Fern Canyon drive to the trail head, but worth it.
Audience is stunned.
These guys like the sunshade even if my Wife does not.

Don & I are in for Argyle, too. We'll bring tasty nibblies to share! Thanks for coordinating the visit! _________________ I'm pullin' into town on the interstate, I got a steel train in the rain.

Thanks for the trip report savage, I need to put one together from our Kinzel lake trip! That looks like a great road trip you guys had except for missing NWMF. We're going to have to chat about your window treatments, so cool.
Thanks for the replies, a head count would be sweet to have. Looking forward to welcoming new cats and seeing old hats.
Cheers

Sweet guys! The names are stacking up.
Clarence- pretty much anyone is welcome, eurovans too. There will be so many vans it will blend in no problem. Looking forward to meeting new folks.
Sounds like MacDude needs to change some plans around a little bit wouldn't you say?
Thanks

Jahbah,
I'm pretty sure I'm in for the winery tour. Thanks a bunch for putting this together.
TIP: For Portland area people, a beautiful way to drive to Newberg is along the Wilsonville road. You skip the endless stop lights and strip malls of Tigard and Sherwood. Timing wise, it's probably a savings, especially on a Saturday afternoon.

Hey Portland peoples,
Looks like another gathering might be in the works.
Brad and Sheena, along with their stalwart van Nacho, are planning a PDX visit. A few hours ago, Brad proposed on his Facebook page to have a general Portland meet up on Tuesday, August 26 at Hopworks on Powell at 6:30.
For those who have not heard of this trio, they have recently completed an astounding feat - driving their 2WD Westy van literally around the world over about three years. I have been following their blog, and it's been quite the trip.
www.drivenachodrive.com
Personally, I am very interested to meet folks that have the vision and chutzpah to pull off a trip like this. Come on down, have a beer, and meet some real VW celebrities.
