Sweet!
I dig it. Let's spread the word around and fill up the place. I will be sweet to get everyone together and catch up. I'm in with a gift swap!
Cheers

I had to be towed to the holiday gathering a couple of years ago when my hall sender went out. Made it thanks to ClimberJohn.... _________________ 89 Syncro Westy - GW 2.5, now with a double knob job

I LOVE CHRISTMAS TIME!!! CAUSE IT"S MY BIRTHDAY!!!
Don't forget to bring me two gifts, one for Xmas and one for my Birthday.
Don't be that Uncle that only brings me one gift at Xmas time and says "Here ya go little man, Merry Xmas" and forgets it is my Birthday too. I'm really not salty about my Xmas/Birthdays past,, no really I am not. _________________ VW

My younger brother was born on Christmas day...to keep him from being shorted, my folks would have a "Half-Birthday" celebration for him in June. The rest of us lobbied but he was the only one so honored...
Maybe someone will give you the Left-hand side of something for Christmas and the Right-hand side for your birthday. |

Oh man. I'll be out of town on the 20th. I really hate missing THE social event of the year. _________________ 87 Westy, 250k GW 2.4 - 2.0 , 16" wheels |

I am IN for the 20th. Thanks Jkidd and Dustin for getting this rolling.
Maybe folks can bring a part(s) to donate / part it forward / pass onto someone who can use it sort of swap.

If it's a VW and the engine is in the back, it's welcome.

looking for someone good for paint/bodywork in pdx. the po painted it at some point and it looks terrible. it also needs minor body/rust repair. i would prefer a person who knows westy's and has a proven track record.
thanks

I will be getting there around 2pm. Bring your appetite because the burgers are huge! Can't wait!! I can feel my arteries tightening right now...
I say yes to the present deal, but it is optional of course. Bring a wrapped present. We will draw numbers to see in what order people get to pick. Then when your number comes up, you can either choose a wrapped one or steal one somebody has already opened. Ahh...I love the Christmas spirit of greed and theft!
See you all soon!

Festivity chat aside, can some of you mugs and fellow rogues help this guy out ? ClimberJohn ... do you recommend that place where you had that paint job several years ago ?
Checking the archives is like having a root canal. I've already provided Chris what I know. |

Uh the old saying you get what you pay for really applies when talking auto body. I can say Austin's auto body and paint in Canby will do the job right. The folks that do this for a living each project that comes out is a business card. Macco and earl make money by selling a spray job and minimal prep and finish. That's where the work is, prep and finish! This being said anyone can do it but how far do you want to take it? |
