It's the hazard of having too much stuff laying around coupled with forgetting just exactly what you have acquired for VW's. Awhile ago I bought a number of Type 4 specific things from another Samba member. For once, I filed things away, and then forgot about them until now.
I have a '74 Variant with L-Jet which has been a b*tch to find diagnosis material about. Generally you cobble together info about Type 1's and 2's to see what you can do to fix issues. Well, things just got easier! I found this in my stash, purchased well before I picked up my '74. Was it meant to be?
The tech section here only has a troubleshooting guide for D-Jet up till Oct 1973 for Type 3 and 4's. I will have to get this scanned properly and offer it to Everett to be added to the site. _________________ 1970 Campmobile Click to view image

Please do get it posted.
Thanks _________________ 1982 Westy, 1974 412 Variant... Yes, Aircooled's are great! Oh and I do have modern computer controlled vehicles too, but I just don't care about them. |

Dude.
I know exactly where that came from, and you didn't buy it before you bought the '74. It came in all the stuff in the car.
You're welcome. _________________ Немає виправдання для війни! Я з Україною.

I almost kept it, too. I wound up sending it with the car, though, in hopes I'll never have to deal with a type 4 again. _________________ Немає виправдання для війни! Я з Україною.
