When I was replacing the heater core and blower motor, I noticed this collection of relays, a control unit(?), and a resistor(?) on my 1990 former Bundeswehr Doka.
The interwebs tells me the larger box is a control unit for the now missing diesel-fueled booster heater, but don’t know what the remaining relays are used for or if I can remove them and the associated wiring.

Eberspacher is a manufacturer of fuel operated cabin heaters. I am guess you have one or at least did at one point. |

You are correct; this diesel fueled Doka had the booster heater, but it was removed at some point.
I'm assuming since this is a seperate harness, it is not necessary any more. |

I had a similar thing in my '81 air cooled minus the relays and box shown at left.
Depending on loads, wire sizes, fusing arrangement, those relays, maybe some of the wires, might be useful as head light upgrade relays or ? At minimum it appears you have a set of nice relay blocks with bracket and possibly useable wires.
