Will do. Now if we could just get TMI to make accurate door panels. |
If the seat covers are indeed correct perhaps the demand for them will be enough to inspire TMI to reproduce the panels as well. |

No we will not be making "correct" door panels at this time. A 1 year only 1966 panel will cost too much for tooling to be created with the low amount of request that we get, but things could change. _________________ Mario De Leon

Well, in any event thanks for reproducing what appear to be accurate 1966 front seat covers. Those are much harder to find than the door panels. |

I'm not surprised and I don't really blame you. I suspect the "66 only" seats exist due to some overlap in the '67 design and the fact that the custom OEM seat selector makes a good match available. _________________ 66 Sedan L456 "Ramona" |

According to WW it's the 44-1136-15-05 (ivory) model number for TMI. The replacement seats were shipped out on Monday and I should have them by Friday. As soon as they arrive I'll upload some pics. _________________ 66 Sedan L456 "Ramona" |

I'm really hoping that these seat covers will be what was pictured in the 43-1014 photos that Mario from TMI sent you. As soon as I get confirmation from you that they are as pictured, I will be placing my order too! Not only do the 43-1014's have the rollover top, but the heat seams only go up about 3/4s of the way up the seat back as they were originally. Thanks again for doing the legwork on this! |

So we could order direct from TIM and save a little loot? About what was the damage for a set of these bad boys? I am trying to get close to the original Balearie beige of my Java Green car. What would you folks suggest as far as that? |

My experience is that you can get better pricing and support by ordering through their retailers. I think Mario would confirm this. _________________ 66 Sedan L456 "Ramona" |

Sorry Mario, I didn't mean it like that.
It's really nice having someone from TMI here on the forums to help clear up these issues. Please don't go anywhere. _________________ 66 Sedan L456 "Ramona" |

Mario - off-topic, but I've been getting "403 Forbidden" errors all day for the TMI website. I've been in touch with Denver @ TMI and they claim that it works fine for everyone in the office. I've confirmed with others outside of TMI that they're seeing the same error.
Not trying to get anyone in trouble, but you should know that your customers (at least some of them) are not able to browse your website. _________________ 66 Sedan L456 "Ramona" |

FYI, it has finally recovered. I haven't heard back from Denver yet, but as someone who actually does this stuff for a living, I'd be curious to know what the issue was. _________________ 66 Sedan L456 "Ramona" |

I am putting in my order these seats once we see if they are the right ones. I am looking at the Tan color from WW for the seats.
What door panels is everyone using if they have to get new? I know we can not get the correct 66 style, and from looking WW does not offer a Tan panel for the 67. So getting from two different companies means the Tan color won't match? I just want the colors to match if I can. |

Mario, has TMI ever considered something like a Kickstarter campaign to fund development of niche products like the '66 Beetle door panels? I'm sure the WCCR panels are nice, but the price is a bit steep and it would be nice to guarantee a color match from the same manufacturer as our seat covers. _________________ 66 Sedan L456 "Ramona" |
