Can somebody tell me were I can purchase the correct style seat covers for a '66 beetle?
I need Balearic beige. The closest color match is Saddle.
I called WW, they didn't want to deal with any special orders, just only with what they have in their stock.
Is my only choice to order directly from TMI and pay their premium price?
Thanks for any info _________________ L518 '66 Java Green sedan stock driver 6V⚡️

Did you read through the thread? This is an excellent thread for information on pricing, ordering and seeing correct examples of 66 reproduction seats and door panels. _________________ http://das-auto-66vw.tumblr.com/ |

Yes I have read the entire thread. The pics look great and Mario is a fantastic supporter of and an asset to the VW community!
I'm trying to find who sells the Saddle colored seat covers/door panels
I called WW tonight and they had no interest in selling a color that they do not stock. I then checked JBugs web site, they show a set of seat covers fitting 1965-1967 model years.
I'm looking for the correct type for a '66
I tried calling TMI, but it was after their business hours. I'll try again tomorrow.
So I am just trying to find where every one is purchasing their seat covers from? TMI or one of their accomadating dealers, if from a dealer, which one?
Thanks for your help.

Well, from what I've seen, TMI is probably your best best as far as price/look goes. There are others out there such as Sewfine, which do really good work from what I've read on Samba. I'm actually going to do Saddle as well (original was black, but I think saddle would look really good with my bahama blue paint). You can order swatches free of charge through TMI (or any other supplier). I ordered saddle, tan and some tweeds, but thought the saddle looked best. I also ordered a rear speaker shelf in saddle from TMI and it came out really nice. _________________ http://das-auto-66vw.tumblr.com/ |

I bought my seat covers through the Wolfsburg West website, but I also made a call to them to be sure I was getting these new 66 correct covers and not the quasi-66 sets they had been selling previously. As far as them not offering colors they do not stock, Mario will probably be better able to answer that question, but I'm surprised that if it was an original 66 color that WW wouldn't at least be willing to get a set through TMI if you ordered it. Good luck. |

Thanks for the info.
I called JBugs and spoke with "Chris". He is sending some color samples to me.
He also said he would contact Mario for the correct p/n and lead time for the color I'm looking for.
Chris called me today stating he tried to speak with Mario but had not been able to get in contact with him, he then said he will try again tomorrow and assured me I had not been forgotten, and will call me as soon as he speaks with Mario about the color and E.T.A.
So it looks like I may have found the place to do business with, time will tell
Again thanks for the quick responses to my questions _________________ L518 '66 Java Green sedan stock driver 6V⚡️

I believe I paid around $270 which is what they were selling 66 seat covers for at the time, and is about what they're charging for 65 and 67 seat covers still, but I see that WW has since raised the price on them.

the part number you need is the 44-1136-90-95. We are in our busy season to the lead time is 3 weeks.
If anybody has "proof" that saddle was a correct color for that year, i can knock off the upcharge for "custom" color"?
Also these being O.E. correct will be a little more expensive then the "universal" 65-67 upholstery _________________ Mario De Leon

According to the charts here and at Wolfsburg West the Java Green 66's had balearic beige (saddle) interiors. |

Apologies, I was thinking of the door panel pricing. Thanks! |

Should someone make a post with the correct numbers we have so far? Seat Covers, Door Panels with the pricing of both? Just so we don't have to go thought all the pages? Could it be posted on the first Page?
I am a Java Saddle guy and would like those numbers. |

Mario,
So for bright red (Pigalle) the part numbers are:
TMI 1966 door panels bright red (Pigalle) 44-1136-057
TMI 1966 seat covers bright red (Pigalle) 44-1136-957-057
What are the proper part numbers for bright red arm rests?
I am guessing they should be
Right 16-1612-957 ??
Left 16-1613-957 ??
There is nothing on the website for bright red.
Also the door panel part number listed above is for one pocket or two pockets?
On the TMI website it shows door panel part numbers
19-1130-957 for one pocket
19-1132-957 for two pockets
Just want to verify and get everything right before I order
Will be ordering through JBugs as well if WW only wants to sell their current and wrong inventory. _________________ View my 66 build thread here: http://www.thesamba.com/vw/forum/viewtopic.php?t=507996 |

All right 66 original oppressors -n- gurus.
Are these covers originals? Color? Platinum Leatherette?
Good shape but dirty. Front seats have NO tears, have the matching rear seat bottom but for some reason the rear seat back cant be found.
These were stuffed in 65 I bought.
I know they are 66's, but are they originals?
Sure I'll sell em'
