Hello, I am new here. I have been looking at this forum a while for information. I finally went a retrieved my bug that my dad passed on to me. It is a 56 bug that was chopped into a baja back around 1970. My dad bought it around 1978 i think. I always remembered being young and riding around in it. As a child I loved this car and still do. It was in storage in a garge from about 1983-1997 and then was move to a barn from 1997-2013. Which is where I got it and brought it home to restore. I will always leave it as the original baja the way I remember it. I hope to get some insight and help in this forum..

Now for a question...

The front obviously is higher than Stock. Yet there is no evidence of a cut and turn in the beam. Is the lift coming from these coilovers? If it is the coil overs can I get new ones that will provide the same amount of lift?

Yes, definitely. They'll raise your car a few inches because of the Kawasaki spring.
Take em off, they'll destroy your ride.
This is an old Kawi Green Streak with the same basic shocks
