I am happy to announce that Pedro Sainz (of Pedro's Accessories http://www.pedroracks.com/) has generously offered to sponsor the Invasion by covering some of the costs of the shirts. This will let us donate even more from the sale of each shirt to the Invasion charity. It will also let us keep the costs of the shirts to the Invaders down. I will get the details out as soon as I have the shirt pricing nailed down. I will also be able to get the shirts made up ahead of time to offer up early sales.

Pedro has also gone over the top and donated one of his famous Type 3 Roof Racks to the charity auction. The winner will get their choice of Type 3 Roof Racks custom built by Pedro.

Added some more Invaders. We are up to 32 already. Looks like we will have a nice caravan from the Northeast/UpperMidwest.

If you are already on the list of Invaders, please double check that I have your information correct (especially your Name, City, State, and Car Info) because Gary will be using that info to print and make the name tag buttons again for 2016. If you are bringing your significant other, please get that info in there too so we can have a name tag for them.

If you are not on the List/Map and you think you should be, please resend the info because I missed it.

If you are not on the List/Map yet because you haven't sent your info to me.....what are you waiting for? Very Happy

Also if you have something Type 3 related that you want to donate to the charity auction please contact me and I will add it to the website. Remember all proceeds got to the Ronald McDonald House charity.

John, just throwing this out there for the caravan if you guys need a place to crash on your way threw Colorado hit me up Ellen and I want to join you guys and if it works out that you are coming threw co and need a place to crash for the night we are more then happy to open our home to the caravan. Jim Adny and Melissa have been hear and can tell you we have space. I can make BBQ and you guys can relax for the night befor we get up and make the rest of the journey to AZ.

Art, would love to have you guys. Many have tried and all have failed. Love my notch, but don't get why so many are after it. I just like that it is the early body style with all the later drive train improvements. Once I decided to keep the notch stock it was quickly sidelined for something I really wanted to build. As soon as the square is complete the notch will be revisied an restored to its original condition and will become Ellen's Classic driver.

Dave, I'm sorry I had u confused with a buddy Art (who is also after the notch. You are Mr Adney budy. If I where ever to let it go it would be to you, Jim tells me you do awsome work in restoring the type 3. I think we met at the 2012 invasion. I hope u guys are able to come by on your travels to the 2016 invasion. Either way i would like to meet up with u guys. The square is comming along its been a learning curve but one I have enjoyed.

I have added camping information to the Invasion website for those that want to camp. 3 different options. Check them out if you are interested.

I have also added a link for information about the Invasion T-shirts.

I am also visiting my shirt printer this week. I will have details by mid-week. I will be taking orders for folks that want to have them shipped before the Invasion. Stay tuned for the details.

I will also take pre-orders for folks that want to pick them up at the Invasion and guarantee they get the sizes they want. In this case you only need to e-mail me at [email protected] and let me know quantity and sizes and I will set them aside for you prior to the Invasion. No need for pre-payment.

I updated the Invasion site with some more Invaders and some the info about the shirts that is also repeated below. Ken and Sue have just about got a restaurant lined up for our Saturday dinner. Details will be added to the Invasion site soon.

The Invasion T-Shirts will be a single color, dark orange print on a yellow/gold shirt. The shirts are Gildan Ultra-Cotton. 6 oz. pre-shrunk 100% cotton. They will be available in the following adult men's sizes:

Small (S)
Medium (M)
Large (L)
Extra Large (XL)
2XL
3XL

Shirts will be $12.00 each for all sizes.

This is the same price as the last Invasion shirts. However thanks to the generous sponsorship of Pedro Sainz (Pedro's Accessories), we will be able to donate $6 from the sale of every shirt to the Invasion charity instead of the $2.00 we have donated in the past. Assuming I can sell all 100 shirts, that is $600.00 right off the bat for the charity.

I am currently taking pre-orders for the Invasion Shirts. This is for folks that just want to guarantee that they get the sizes and quantities that they want at the Invasion. Just send me an e-mail at [email protected] with the quantities and sizes that you want. I will set them aside when I get the order in and bring them to Invasion for you to pay for and pick up. No need to pre-pay for them and no commitment if circumstance change. Of course, if you want to pre-pay for your order I am happy to accept PayPal at [email protected].

Something new this time around. I am going to order the shirts around the middle of February. So if you want your shirts before the Invasion, you can order them, pay for them plus $3.00 per shirt shipping charges, and I will get them out to you by the end of February or so.

Either way, please let me know by the middle of February the sizes and quantities you want so I can get the order right. This has worked out well the last few Invasions.

I work at a VW shop in Mesa if anyone needs a parts place or needs me to bring something up.

This will be our first trip in the wife's squareback with the new 1968cc engine. Mechanically her car is 100%, but it's cosmetically challenged.
