How do you make the roll the the bed rail on a sportster bed
Been trying to find how they roll this sheet metal sides
I have the plans but it does not show how that is rolled
I guess I could use a tube and weld the sheet to that then grind and fill the weld , but that sounds like aq lot of work

Sheet metal shop or fabricator shop should be able to do it for you...

The bed rails on my Sportster are not round, they are square. |

Hello Sandhopper,
Are you talking about the rail that goes from the back of driver and passenger side to rear fire wall?
Let me know.

Bed rails, are usually the side edge of a pickup style bed of a vehicle. |

How to make that roll is what I would like to know
There was someone making parts , but it looks like they have gone away

I think one long one cut in half would probably work for both sides. Contact the company and talk to them and see if they'll just provide the rolled and bent panel without the welded on stiffeners, it might be cheaper. |

A buddy of mine made his own bed for his 51 ford pick up. He used tubing and welded the bent panels (bed sides) to the tubing. It takes some work but if done right you can't tell it wasn't one rolled sheet.
