I was just reading some old magazines and seen a story on the Kubelwagen and thought I would pass it along for others I don't know if the spelling is right I thought it was kubelwagen but the say it is kuebelwagen

I just checked with my Wife who is German and it is spelled this way if you cannot use the ü umlaut.
Kübelwagen "German"
Kuebelwagen "English"

Your wife uis right but the Europeans are starting to get rid of accent marks to simplify things.

Now in German spelling all items with umlauts -- the double dot-- are replaced by an extra e.

And the ESS-TSETT, that looks like a B, is now spelled with ss

just a few more pictures I found reading old magazines these are from Road Test july 1971 I am trying to copy them before the paper falls apart this is what Ron and I are trying to do on our website with the things before we both get to old to enjoy what we do

Really?? Or should it have read North Africa??Wink
