Are they even legal? The wheel base is so small and the body so tall, what states would let you run it? Most of the photos here show none of them running plates

Many states have no vehicle inspection. That would be considered safer than many vehicles on the road here in Idaho. _________________ nothing |

I used to see one regularly on the roads of Minnesota, too. Some states don't have the heavy hand of government oversight that you may be accustomed to. _________________ nothing |

We have a Reconstruction permit process that covers altered vehicles that want to be driven on roads. We also safety checks that you need every year for a car over 10 years old. Pretty simple. Brakes , lights, signals, tire condition, cracked glass, seat belts! My guy takes it for a drive! He is the only inspector that can find reverse! I used to love it when they were confused and embarrassed and gave up!! _________________ Somewhere there is a jar with your name on it!

Is there any reason that they wouldn't let the shorty single cab on the road? Do they just use their own judgement to determine whether it is "safe"? Just curious. _________________ nothing |

I can't answer that! I brought it up, because most of the shorties posted here have no plates. _________________ Somewhere there is a jar with your name on it!
