I'm just curious peoples experience of the rebuild kits for both of these kits from Wolfsburg West as of late? Or if anyone has suggestions for kits from somewhere else.
Thanks!

Maybe somebody picked up a WW fuel pump kit in the last 5 weeks & installed it, because just prior to that they were out of stock. You'll also be hard pressed to find anybody that has both the carb & fp rebuild kits other than maybe CIP1 as the fp kits seemed scarce a few weeks back. I ordered both through WW, but have not rebuilt my fp yet. WW did state that the fp kit has changed and contains fewer components. I forget what they eliminated from the kit. |

I was just hoping to find out about quality because I've read people have had issue with both the CIP and WW. Thanks for the info.

From my experience the fuel pump rebuild kits are crap...poorly made diaphragms
Ed Fall has a great product, but big $$$
That's why I went to a 6V electric pump...remove the insides of the stock pump and just run the gas thru it with the electric...still appears stock this way. You could make a cover plate as well and just remove the stock pump.
Summit racing sells the 6V electric... |

WW says that they have redone the fuel pump diaphragm to account for the new fuels. _________________ Roads Scholar &

Carburetor kits are all the same brand which is Royze, I don't think there are any generics out there any more. I've had zero problems with those kits. The fuel pump kits are another story. Depending on the gas at your location (alcohol content) will determine how long the diaphragm will last. There is an upgrade with a diaphragm made of a better material for around $30. Just shop around with some of the Porsche folks. _________________ 30 years experience in the sales of new and used auto parts!

I made my own diaphragm with a piece of 1mm viton rubber. The rebuild kits are really crap. |
