im working on my 1966 partial restore, the plan is to have it running and stopping and clean up a few things but eventually a full restore. i do have a few questions on some stuff:
has anyone used www.jbugs.com or recommend a good site for stuff, also going to be looking for interior eventually.
my rear seat doesnt have the latch to stay up but has the clip on the shelf, which latch/clip do i need to get?
im not sure what these are but im thinking they are for shoulder seatbelts but i dont think they had that option in 1966, can anyone help me?
thanks |

That does look like the factory hole for the shoulder belts. _________________ 1958 Karmann Ghia owner |

I believe shoulder belts were an option in some markets. My '66 has the same provision, and I used it for mounting modern retractable shoulder belts. |

thanks for the info....i have another question on somethings.
the heater lines that go from the exhaust to the heater channels were missing so i was curious what size i would need to order to replace those?
what is the best way to install the motor, from the top and install the exhaust after or install exhaust first then install from the bottom of the car?
im sure i have a few more but that all i can think of right now.
thanks |

Use the specialist KG suppliers...KGPR and House of Ghia...they know their stuff and will see you right. As for J-Bugs their reputation is patchy: http://www.thesamba.com/vw/forum/viewtopic.php?t=134927 |
+1 on this. I have ordered a lot of stuff from KPGR so far and they are great. They will price match as well. _________________ -Jared
