hello want to get a pair of those billet crank handle from airkweld. i want to know how do they go on if anyone have ever used them. its on my 63 bug. the handle right now have pins and the billtets one have a bolt that seem to go through the centre of it to hold the handle in place. will my doors accept this style of handles? |

Early type 3s have this problem too. What I did was drill out the stamped area of the pin from the back side (removing it), and just added a little loctite to the screw to assemble it. I got the billet knobs from Mid America though, and the screws from my local hardware store. Much cheaper that way.
