Hey all . . I have a question . . I'm finding that since I put my new Transmission in (Free Way Flyer) my engine seems to want to be more advanced. I usually have it at 28 degrees BTDC but it feels happier all of a sudden at + 32 degrees.

Do I run any risk of running the engine into the ground at the more advanced setting (32 degrees or more) ? I synched my duel Kadrons carbs and have them dead ON and my idle is sweet (900 rpm's).

I have a Ignitor 1 in a Bosch 009 distributor (mechanical advance) with a stock coil. My engine is a 1700.

Any issues with the more advanced setting !? (running to hot . . etc.)

Any and all suggestions are welcome. Thanks as always for all your help !

Tony

28-32..... Just find the "happy spot". Too much advance will make it run hot.

FYI - your kads tend to idle better (all 4 cylinders fire) at 1000-1100. Just sayin.......
