|
|
Is the shift rod tube tapered in a 71? I'm replacing the bushings. After pulling out the linkage, it looks like there is something jammed about half way down the tube? Almost looks like a sleeve. Is the tube tapered? If not suggestions for boring out a jam? |

You can put your weed in there...
Do you mean the tube on the body, right? Where the shift rod slides down into?
Might be the remains of one of the nylon bushings. |

That's what I'm thinking. Find yourself a ram rod and see if it will come out. _________________ Lead Mechanic: San Diego Air and Space Museum

Is that a 12 Gauge or a 20 Gauge Ramrod? |

I've had a kit like this for several years and someday I might start working on it. _________________ Lead Mechanic: San Diego Air and Space Museum
