I am building a trike out of a 71 superbeetle and recently replaced crank shaft in the 1600 cc engine , but when I got everything put back together everything is running fine but leaking quite a bit of oil by crank shaft pulley. Can anyone recommend what I should do to fix this problem? Thanks

1. Make sure you have crankcase ventilation hooked up to the air cleaner.
2. Put on a sand seal (requires aftermarket pulley)
3. Do a compression check.
4. Check oil level.

sounds like oil slinger on crankshaft may be backwards.
