40's door changes

Hello,

I try to find out when door design details changed. See these earlier and later designs. Could it be so that changed at the same time with the door latch design somewhere late47/early48?

Interesting threat!

The change from 5 to 3 piece hinge was taken place in 46. I will check on those other details on my 46 which is just under restoration.
