so after a while we got it to this
Will took off the top corner and inner corner supports. we need to straighten the roof supports before the corner can be set into place.
this is what we need to straighten first

Holy s*** !!!!
it takes a brave builder/team and a dedicated customer/owner to act like that, WOW !!!
to some ( I'm one of them) it obviously is more important to do right, what you don't see, too. because it will always bother your mind later on, if you didn't.
It was the best decision Frank and you and your team could come up with _________________ Hotrods, Fords, Veedubs and Triumph Twins !

Nightmare for the owner
And somewhat embarrassing for the previous resto shop
Discerning owners are now expecting high quality - factory replicated - resto work with respect for original metal _________________ -StockRocks- |

It is never fun to have to redo sloppy work...
I would never plugweld a longside like the previous shop did.
Nowdays you use glue but nevertheless the inner supports have to be straight and in the correct positions in both cases.
Nice to see it coming together again! _________________ ----------(VW)----------

here are some close up photos of the belt-line. maybe this would be okay since the trim will cover it up.

What if it was pulled from YOUR shop today and another shop got it... You know what they would be saying, "what were they doing?" And the answer is... You weren't done... Same thing applies to this situation....
Carry on, nice builds you guys do. Enough work for everyone here... _________________ Subi swaps welcome! |

I had a read of the build thread on the other site and I didn't see it showing the bus having work done on the beltline. Looks like where it could've been cut if they were replacing the whole roof! (no evidence to back up that, just going by those couple of pics! ) Why would a cut like that even be there? Didn't this thing have suicide doors too? Guess it's had a lot of "creative improvements" that you'll have to reverse.
I'm sure it's going to be a great build to follow, judging by the last few you've done. |

As I remember (corrections welcome) the majority of the long panel had been previously replaced long ago with one from a bay window. _________________ EMPI Power Rules! |

Maybe, however when we got the vehicle it had an entire klassicfab long panel already installed. Along with the short side panel. _________________ Jason Stratton 407 497 9944

That's what I meant, before the previous shop installed the Gerson metal. _________________ EMPI Power Rules! |
